The team behind the EDU20C project is based at the “Human Capital Data Lab” (HCDL) at the Wittgenstein Centre for Demography and Global Human Capital (IIASA, VID/ÖAW, WU), Vienna Institute of Demography (Austrian Academy of Sciences). One of the main objectives of HCDL is to collect, harmonise and validate data on populations by levels of education that can be used for population projections and the historical reconstruction of educational attainment.

Anne Goujon

Anne is a demographer working at the Wittgenstein Centre, where she leads the HCDL research group. Anne is the principal investigator of the EDU20C project. She coordinates and supervises the research activities.

Markus Speringer

Markus is a geographer and research scientist in the HCDL at the Wittgenstein Centre. His responsibilities in the EDU20C project include data modelling and the methodological refinement of back-projections of educational attainment.

Ramon Bauer

Ramon is a geographer and university assistant at the University of Vienna, Department of Geography and Regional Research. While working as a research scientist in the HCDL at the Wittgenstein Centre (until 2017), he was responsible for data visualisations and the website in the EDU20C project together with Tina Frank and team.

Sandra Jurasszovich

Sandra is a geographer and research scientist in the HCDL at the Wittgenstein Centre. In the context of the EDU20C project, Sandra mainly works on the collection of data, as well as on the validation and harmonisation of datasets.

Samir KC

Samir is a demographer and professor at the Asian Demographic Research Institute (ADRI) at Shanghai University. He is also affiliated with the Wittgenstein Centre. In the context of the EDU20C project, he provided valuable knowledge with regards to data modelling and back projections of educational attainment.

Michaela Potančoková

Michaela is a demographer and is currently working as a research scientist with the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission in collaboration with the Wittgenstein Centre. She is responsible for collecting, harmonising and validating various educational attainment data that are used in the EDU20C project.
